| The Central Coast American Motorcycle Club was established approx 10 years ago initially as a Harley Owners Group organization. Due to the death of our dealer principal and the short sightedness of Warren Frazer “Frazers Motorcycles” the Central Coast Chapter of HOG was deregistered under HOG’s constitutional requirements that “a Chapter must have a sponsoring dealer”. |
| As it turned out this provided us with an enormous opportunity as one of HOG’s more successful clubs we had a strong foundation member base and great friendships. This resulted in the formation of the Central Coast American Motorcycle Club Incorporated as at Sept 1999. In addition to the founding club we have Chapter clubs in Wollongong, Coffs Harbour, Foster, Nabiac, Ballina, Lismore, Tamworth, Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast and we continue to field enquiries from other regional areas. |
| We are a registered charity and are completely independent; having no official sponsorship, or alliances with corporate or privately owned organizations. Our members come from all walks of life, with one common factor we all like to ride Harley’s*, and have fun, lots of fun! |
| The Central Coast American Motorcycle Club Incorporated is a social club for its members with official meetings held monthly chaired by an annually elected committee consisting of a President, Secretary, Treasurer and Social Officer. Our Annual General meeting is held on or about the months of September /October. |
| We conduct regular organized rides for members only to various destinations, including weekends away, day trips, overnight trips, all are family events. We participate in a number of charitable and fund raising events, to this regard we run two regular open public charity events being the Salvation Army “Winter Appeal” Food and Blanket run and the Salvation Army “Toy Appeal” the Toy Run. We also run an annual Poker Run which is also a public event and open to any type of licensed rider. |
| We have a strong mix of riders of all ages and sexes, we promote the club as a family affair; in fact we even have a club bus which is used regularly to transport members and member’s children to and from events. |
| The club has a constitution and a chapter charter which is available for review by prospective members, to become a Full Member of the American Motorcycle Club you are required to own and ride a Harley Davidson or Buell, Associate Members must be a regular partner or child of a full member. To become a member you must first attend two official club rides, at which time you should introduce your self to a committee member. It is recommended that you attend a club meeting at which time we will review your membership application. |
